Local Qualifier Boards

At the local level, APA members compete on a “board” consisting of four to eight members with one player advancing to the regional competition.  The local entry fee starts at $20* and there is NO limit on qualifying attempts.  Qualifier Board winners advance to the Regional and National levels at NO additional entry fee!

*Entry starts at $20 per person based on an 8-person Single Elimination Board.  Boards with less than 8 people will vary in cost ($23-$40 per person).  Occasionally, when we have 16 people (no BYES), we can run a Double Elimination Board, which is called a SPLASH Board, which costs $50, but it advances 5 winners to the Regional Level!

ANYTIME 4 to 8 players want to get together and play, ANYONE can run a Singles Board!  If you would like to run a Singles Board in your area or would like to see qualifiers held at a specific host location in NW Dallas County, contact Chrystyne 214-281-6650, or email nwdallasapa@gmail.com

The NW Dallas County office will make every attempt to keep everyone informed on upcoming boards as long as there is enough notice given by the person(s) running the boards.  The single best way to stay up to date on what's going on in the league is to follow us on FACEBOOK!

NW Dallas County APA is committed to advancing as many players of all skill levels to the Regional and National Levels.  Therefore, occasionally the League Office will host qualifiers and invite all qualified members to sign up.  When the League Office runs a board, we will have sign up forms online and will require a $20 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot.  The balance of the actual entry fee will be due the day you play.  Click here to see if there are any open League Office Singles Boards.
